Phosphate(PO4))Test Strips
Phosphate(PO4))Test Strips
Phosphates are not toxic to fish. However, high levels of phosphate can lead to the proliferation of algae in the water, which indirectly affects the growth of fish. (Overproduced algae will consume a large amount of oxygen in the water and cause damage to the fish.) In general, when the phosphate reaches 1mg/L, the water quality will be suitable for algae to grow. When phosphate level reaches 2 – 3 mg/L or higher, it will be difficult to control algal blooms, which can occur at any time. Therefore, the ideal phosphate level should be below 0.05mg/L. Phosphate (PO4) test strips is an easy way to monitor phosphate level in the water.
